The Truth about Wedding Flower Packages or Name your own Price When you give your florist a budget you are providing a very important and necessary tool for designing your wedding flowers. In our shop we combine that information with all of the input the bride has given us concerning her flower and color choices, her style and venue and go to work to create something special for her within that dollar amount. There are so many ways to arrive at a perfect solution, like using filler flowers or buying flowers on sale and in bulk and eventually we will arrive at the look and style desired. If the budget is just way too low to cover all the pieces we tell her and make suggestions. Often the centerpieces are an area where creativity can bring down the total cost. In other words every time you give us a budget, you are in effect creating the parameters for your own custom flower package. Only one time in 12 years have I had a bride take one of our packages exactly as it is offered because brides have individual preferences and requirements and packages need to be conformed. SO, set your budget and describe the pieces you need and let your florist go to work creating your "package."

TOOLS WE USE At flowered.events one of the tools we use to help everyone get a clearer picture is sketching. For this top sketch the bride requested zinnias, gerberas and dahlias and since the color spectrum is huge for these varieties,we colorized our sketch several times and emailed it to the bride. The photo of the actual bouquet shows the color way that she chose.

Sometimes the shape of the bouquet needs to be defined. On the left a fairly compact round bouquet, on the right, a looser, more open look.
